Impact of Covid-19 on the ISHS symposia

We understand that this is a time of concern. The International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) is taking all developments concerning the coronavirus (Covid-19) seriously and will continue to closely monitor and adequately respond to this unprecedented situation.

The ISHS Secretariat is working in close cooperation with the respective conveners of ISHS symposia and regional congresses who have been forced to suspend meetings because of the coronavirus issue, to find the best possible alternative.

In each individual case where a meeting cannot be conducted as originally planned this requires careful consideration and contingency planning in consultation with the ISHS Board and the Chairs of the ISHS Divisions & Working Groups concerned.

The most appropriate measure so far is rescheduling affected meetings for a later date whenever possible and meticulously avoiding conflicts with other symposia.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will always strictly follow health authorities' directions.

The health and safety of all our participants and symposium conveners is our highest priority.

The ISHS online Calendar of Events page which is available at https://www.ishs.org/calendar is showing the most up to date information in real time regarding the meeting status.
Feel free to review the web page of each symposium and reach out to the symposium conveners if you have further questions or concerns regarding your participation.

Until further notice the ISHS Secretariat remains fully operational to ensure maximum continuity under these exceptional circumstances and to guarantee all ISHS operations, including membership services and ISHS publications.

Thanks for your support, understanding and loyalty.
Stay safe and take care of yourself and your family!
