[1] Dr. Giulia Marino (USA)

Dr. Marino has a PhD in Fruit and Forestry Tree Systems and a MS in Agricultural Science, both from the University of Palermo, Italy. I joined the Department of Plant Science at the University of California Davis in 2020 where I hold an Associate Professor position of Cooperative Extension in Orchard Systems. My research integrates germplasm evaluation with tree physiology to improve orchard system profitability and abiotic-stress resilience. I explore the interactions between cultivar-rootstock traits, pedo-climatic conditions and management practices. I published 23 papers and 3 book chapters in the last 5 years, have an H-index of 15 on Google Scholar and Scopus. I am currently leading multiple research projects on pistachio, almond, cherry and olive.
