Symposia

International Horticultural Congress

Held every four years, the International Horticultural Congress (IHC) attracts  around 3,000 delegates. It is carefully planned over many years to address all areas of horticultural science through multiple concurrent symposia. The Congress provides opportunities for individuals to present their current research, either as a poster or to make an oral presentation, sharing the results of their work with a wide audience. In addition, there are numerous social gatherings, sight-seeing opportunities, and the chance to see local horticultural industries during specialized field trips.

The next International Horticultural Congress (IHC2030) will be held in Milan, Italy, from August 25 – 30, 2030, at Allianz MiCo Convention Centre, one of the largest Convention Centres in Europe and among the largest conference facilities worldwide. The theme of IHC2030 is “Horticulture for growing a greener future”.

Compared to other agricultural and plant science fields, horticultural science focuses on a great diversity of plants from domesticated plants to wild plants. Furthermore, horticulture covers a wide range of fields from the social sciences to the medical sciences. It also covers a wide range of professions in the horticultural industry, including scientists, growers, distributors, and marketers.

We look forward to welcoming you to IHC2030 in Milan, under the motto:
“Horticulture for growing a greener future.“
