Flower Bulbs and Herbaceous Perennials
The Working Group Flower Bulbs and Herbaceous Perennials serves as a global platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings related to ornamental geophytes and herbaceous perennials.
The Working Group focuses on a wide range of topics, including:
- propagation, cultivation, and forcing,
- flowering and postharvest physiology,
- biodiversity and genetic resources,
- genetics and breeding,
- biotechnology,
- plant protection,
- the use of flower bulbs and herbaceous perennials in gardens and green spaces.
Research conducted within the Working Group is interdisciplinary and closely linked to horticultural practice. It supports growers and breeders by providing scientific insights that improve production technologies, enhance plant quality, and promote sustainable cultivation methods.
