Root and Tuber Crops
The Working Group Root and Tuber Crops addresses all topics related to improving the production systems of major cultivated root vegetable and tuber crops. The group’s objective is to create and maintain connections among researchers working with major root and tuber crops such as sweet potatoes, beets, garlic, taro, and yams, among others. Through these connections among researchers, the Working Group aims to organize meetings to discuss important issues directed toward enhancing the production systems of key root vegetables and tubers.
The Working Group brings together the scientific community, including graduate students, and all those interested in discussing important topics related to root and tuber production. A highlight of the Working Group is the organization of an international symposium with the goal of gathering the scientific community and individuals involved in the production chain of roots and tubers. The symposium aims to share experiences, scientific and technical knowledge, innovation, and the development of new technologies.
