Abstract
This paper is dealing with all main factors affecting the productivity of lychee such as poor flowering intensity, low pollen viability and ovule normality, low pollination rate with reference to honeybee behavior, fruit development and abscission.
The involvement of plant growth regulators (PGRs), endogenous or exogenous, in those processes is also discussed, and developments of available technologies to overcome the low fertility are suggested.
