Abstract
The paper contains results of investigation of above mentioned problems in three apple cultivars, among which one is triploid (Kolacara – domestic cv.) and two diploids (Jonathan and Golden Delicious). Experiments were carried out on long slender fruit bearing branches and short fruit bearing branches, as well as in terminal and lateral flowers in inflorescence.

It has been determined that degree of functional capability of embryonic sac and pollen, on one hand, and percentage of fruit set conditionned trouhg genotype, kind of bearing branches and even the position of flowers in the inflorescence, on the other hand.
In this standpoint very significant differences have been determined.

The correlational dependence of functional capabilities of embryonic sac and fruit set is high in all three apple cultivars, while in the pollen is less expressed.
The value of correlation varies as the function of cultivar, kind of bearing branch and flower position in inflorescence.
