Abstract
An overview of certain aspects of Tissue Culture propagation is given with reference to Stage I (Initiation of Cultures), Stage II (Multiplication of Cultures), Stage III (Preparation of Cultures for Planting-Out) and Stage IV (Planting-Out of Cultures). Sections include: Selecting Responsive Plant Material; Disinfestation of Plant Material; Testing for Latent Microbial Contaminants; Virus Eradication; Testing Culture Media and Incubation Conditions; Plant Material in Short Supply; Control of Oxidative Browning of Explants; Growth Habit of Cultures during Multiplication; and, Low Cost Automated Tissue Culture Propagation and "Off-Types".
