Abstract
Modelling of the CA-storage system is based on the balances of oxigen, carbon dioxide, and ethylene to calculate the flow into the store, the flow through the scrubber, and the ethylene conc in the store, resp.
The adsorption of carbon dioxide and ethylene by activated carbon can be described by four empiric constants.
Depending on the main parameters temperature of the scrubber, scrubber flow, and adsorption constants the conc of ethylene varies in the range of one to eight.
