Abstract
Post-harvest physiology and biochemistry of temperate and sub-tropical fruits have been studied in detail but very little is known about the tropical ones, particularly the mango.
The present studies were, therefore, undertaken on problems associated with cold storage of mango such as (a) determination of maturity, (b) method of harvesting, (c) disinfection against fungus, (d) storage condition and post-harvest life, (e) accumulated gases in the atmosphere, and (f) ripening.
