Abstract

The paper gives a survey on the geological situation of Flanders (Northern part of Belgium) in view of geothermal applications.
Describes the technical aspects of the "Beerse-Merksplas" project for the heating of greenhouses and also the reinjection of water from a limestone formation into a cretacious layer.
