Abstract
In this paper, existing nutrient uptake equations are evaluated for use in computer simulation to predict nutrient uptake in a hydroponic system.
Most mechanistic nutrient uptake equations are based on either Michaelis-Menten kinetics, relative addition rate of nutrients, or plant nutrient demand.
