Abstract
The present work, which was first realized by the UBPC (a Cuban Pineapple Enterprise) on October 08, was carried out between May 2001 and June 2001 in Ciego de Avila.
Five kinds of light traps were used at 4 different times from 8pm until 6am.
The insects caught in the traps were collected and analyzed following the methodology of MINAG, (1985) and after this the insects were classified.
It was found that in the pineapple Enterprise of the province Ciego de Avila there are 7 genera of Scarabaeidae of the order Coleoptera. It was also found that there is six times more of the Cyclocephala genera type than the Phyllophaga type.
