Abstract
Lirfa is one of the main commercial cultivar of mango for local and export market in La Reunion Island.
The specific maturity stage used for harvesting Lirfa mango fruit is defined by an index based on fruit appearance (a yellow discoloration appeared near the fruit apex called yellow point). But no data exists about the real physiological maturity stage of this harvest index.
The aim of this study was to analyse ripening potential and ripening behaviour of fruits in relation to the harvest date and the carbon nutrition of fruits.
