Abstract
The ISHS has a strong interest in and supports the organization of regional Congresses on horticultural science in all corners of the world, such as this First All African Horticulture Congress.
A number of the important research questions are related to this particular region; others are of similar interest in various parts of our globe.
The achievements over the last twenty years by our colleague horticulturists on the African continent should be proudly recognized and their significant contribution should not be overlooked.
It is our duty to continue doing all we can to nurture this work; joining forces to consolidate our efforts to produce a stronger and more professional impact.
