Abstract
In the last six years the greenhouse area in Poland has doubled and the area of plastic tunnels has tripled.
In 1979 there were 1425 ha of greenhouses and 1172 ha of plastic tunnels.
Cucumbers are grown on an area of 250 ha of greenhouses, 400 ha of plastic tunnels, and 100 ha of hotbeds (table 1, figure 1).
