Abstract
This experiment was carried out in Santa Rosita farm, in the middle of the desert of the Peruvian arid coast.
Three NPK rates were evaluated in asparagus during four crop cycles.
Fertilization rates evaluated were 223-81-182 (T1), 327-130.5-286.5 (T2) and 432-180-391 (T3) kg ha-1 of N, P2O5, K2O, respectively.
The first harvest showed moderate evidence of differences between asparagus yields.
The farm’s NPK fertilization rate (327-130.5-286.5, T2) obtained 3413 kg ha-1; T3 NPK level yielded 3084 kgha-1, and T1 produced 2621 kg ha-1. For the subsequent three harvests, there was no evidence of an effect of the different NPK levels evaluated.
