Abstract
Modern daily activities exert significant pressure on our mental well-being, impacting our focus, emotional state, and stress hormone levels.
This workshop introduces horticultural therapy, specifically through the hands-on creation of terrariums, as a method to condense the expansive benefits of nature into a manageable indoor activity.
This micro level experience aims to encapsulate the four critical components of Attention Restoration Theory (ART): a deep immersion in a natural environment, providing a respite from daily routines, effortless engagement of attention, and fostering an appreciation for nature.
Participants will engage in a ‘micro nature connectedness’ experience, offering them a practical and accessible tool to alleviate stress in their day-to-day lives.
