Abstract
In 1967 an oomycet was isolated by the author from rotted, stored cabbage.
During the following years, samples of stored cabbage with similar rot caused by the same fungus have been received from different localities.
No report on a similar disease has been found in phytopathological literature.
A preliminary account on the disease has been published (Semb 1968).
