Abstract
The food and nutrition situation in many developing countries will be quite serious when the human race steps into the new century.
The production and consumption of fruits and vegetables in the developing countries will have to be augmented and the consumption of food grains in these countries will have to be reduced and replaced by vegetables and fruits if a serious food and nutritional shortage is to be avoided.
