Abstract
This paper intends to give a summary of some experiences of selling-advice in some economic questions to individual horticultural firms.
These experiences have been gained in a project called "Trädgårdsekonomiska Undersökningen" (TEU) or Horticultural Economic Investigation.

In the following the general background (2) and the organizational frame (3) of TEU will first be presented shortly.
Then some words are said about what is meant by the main activities in TEU: "data collection, result analysis, planning" and how these three activities are linked together (4). The main part of this article will be devoted to a discussion of the practical performances of these activities on individual firms (5). Finally the development of the profitability of some participating firms is discussed (6) and plans for the continuation of the studies are presented (7).
