Abstract
A plant single leaf model and a measuring device model were developed and combined in order to simulate gas exchange measurement and successive data processing on a personal computer.

With the aid of the modelling system, suitability of methods and instrumental precision may be evaluated, experimental plots optimized, model assumptions tested, and novel measuring or data processing methods developed.
