Abstract
This paper analyses the production, distribution and consumption of frozen fruit and vegetables in nine European countries and in the United States.
It emphasises the rapid growth of demand during the sixties, the problems of the relationships between farmers and processors, the consequences of the high market concentration at distributing level and the development of international trade.

The main aspect of this paper is the forecast for the demand of frozen fruit and vegetables in 1975 and 1980, in comparison with the whole demand of frozen foods, based on least squares regression analysis between consumption and income.
