HYBRID RAPESEED BREEDING AND PRODUCTION

This paper gives an overall view of the present situation of hybrid rapeseed/canola breeding and production in the World.
The following topics are successively developed:

• hybridization systems used;

• varietal types which can be created from these different systems;

• various seed production designs set up in different countries;

• breeding methologies applied to select hybrid combinations;
