SOME ASPECTS OF ENERGY BALANCE IN GREENHOUSES

Progress is reported on experiments made during night-time heating and day-time ventilation on the following topics:

1. Estimation of the heat output of the heating pipes.

2. The effect of cloud cover on heat loss from the glass and the difference in loss between the roof, the sides and the ends of the greenhouse.

3. The heat balance of the ventilating air.
