Abstract
A modelling system has been developed to assist with efficient transfer of simulation models to farmers and growers.
The system consists of two parts: the development environment and the target environment.
The concepts and capabilities of the first part, "HIPPO", are demonstrated in this paper.
The accent in the design was to establish the concepts central to biological modelling in order to support scientists in the construction, interlinking and execution of models based on appropriate submodels.
