PREVENTION BY POLYVINYLPYRROLIDONE OF GROWTH INHIBITION OF HAMAMELIS SHOOT TIPS GROWN IN VITRO AND OF BROWNING OF THE AGAR MEDIUM

When 1 % PVP was present in the medium the explant developed best and no browning occured.
The best time for cultivating shoot tips was in July, when the browning intensity was low.
The shoot tips from the second lateral bud had the best development.
