Abstract

The effects of different hydrogels compounds: nutrients-free or nutrient hydrogels; in various concentrations: 0.0% (control), 0.5%, 1.0% or 1.5% w/w of peat moss, on acclimatization behavior of Acacia melanoxylon vitroplants was studied.
The statistical analysis of the data revealed that the acclimatization capacity of vitroplants treated with 1.5% nutrient hydrogels increased to 2.7-fold higher than that of the control treatment.
All the tested hydrogels increased significantly the root length compared with the control one.
Nevertheless the stem length leaves number and dry weight of vitroplants were not affected.
The greatest amounts of: (chlorophyll-A, total indoles and phenols) or 🙁 chlorophyll-B and carotenoids) were determined in tissues of vitroplants exposed to 1.0% or 0.5% nutrient-free hydrogels treatments, respectively.
