Abstract
The performance of root-feeding phylloxera on the rootstock 5C was compared to four other Vitis hosts.
Adaptation was studied measuring the intrinsic rate of increase (rm). The results of ANOVA showed that the values of rm depend significantly on the host plant.
Two phylloxera populations were able to adapt on the rootstock 5C. Cabernet Sauvignon was not an optimal host for the phylloxera populations tested.
