Abstract
The 8th International People-Plant Symposium (IPPS), 4-6 June 2004, was held jointly with the International Horticultural Therapy Summit organized by Hyogo Prefecture and the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of People-Plant Relationships.
It attracted a total of approximately 900 participants over the three days of different conference sessions, attendees coming from 11 countries.
This document presents an outline of the IPPS 2004, held in the city of Awaji, close to Kobe, and resulting developments in people-plant relationships in Japan.
