Abstract
Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.) is one of the more important cut flowers grown in Barbados.
Field experiments were conducted during 2009-2010 on the effects of rainfall pattern on yield and productivity of tuberose. Small colonies were planted at 45×40 cm spacing on 1.6 m wide beds. The experiment was designed as a split plot investigating wet and dry seasons. Initial measurements showed that the yield of both bulbs and flowers were impacted but the quality of flowers produced was not.
