Abstract
Two approaches (i.e. molecular biological and nano-technological) have been taken to search for the effective control of postharvest diseases.
The former approach led to the understanding of the regulatory mechanisms for the syntheses of virulent factors. The latter approach led to the finding of anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal activities of nano-particles of platinum.
These findings may provide new strategies for the control of postharvest diseases.
