Persimmon
The Working Group Persimmon operates under the Division Temperate Tree Fruits. It connects a diverse international community of researchers and professionals committed to highlighting and promoting advancements and knowledge in persimmon science and cultivation, focusing on germplasm conservation and evaluation, genetics and cultivar/rootstock breeding; genomics and biotechnology; smart orchard management; integrated disease and pest control; postharvest biology and storage; processing, utilization and trade; health benefits of persimmon; artificial intelligence applications; and rural industry development. It also seeks to promote scientific collaboration and explore new research frontiers along the entire persimmon value chain, from farm to table.
The Working Group symposia provide the opportunity and an ideal platform for those interested in persimmons to meet, hear about the latest research and technology, discuss ideas, and network.
