Abstract
Phenological traits, yield, and fruit characteristics of eight German plum cultivars were studied in the region of Belgrade in the seven-year period (2012-2018). The average time of flowering of tested cultivars was in the first half of April, and the average duration of flowering varied from 7.4 to 11.0 days.
Time of fruit maturation ranged from July 4 (Katinka) to August 30 (Elena). The average yield tree‑1 was the lowest in cultivar Tophit (13.9 kg) and the highest in cultivar Topking (21.2 kg). The lowest vigour was recorded in cultivars Topper and Top, and the highest in cultivar Jojo. The average fruit weight ranged from 22.6 g in cultivar Katinka to 45.4 g in cultivar Tophit. High soluble solids content (above 20%) was found in cultivars Topking and Tophit. The best rated cultivars for appearance were Tophit and Jojo, while cultivars Hanita and Katinka were best scored for taste.
