Study on planning and design of green space in community-life circle based on population health: a case study of Huilongguan and Tiantongyuan area, Changping District, Beijing

Abstract
With the development of urbanization, the problems of population health are increasingly prominent.
It is found that urban green space plays a positive role in population health, and community green space is used most frequently, so its planning and design is of great significance.
This study takes the green space in the community life circle as the research object.
Theoretically, through literature induction, this paper summarizes the principles and strategies of community green space planning and design based on population health.
Practically, taking Huilongguan and Tiantongyuan areas in Changping District of Beijing as examples for planning and design, and using ArcGIS for analysis, it is concluded that within the research scope, the coverage rate of a 15-min walk service range of the current park is 40.93%, that of 10-min walk service range is 27.28%, and that of 5-min walk service range is only 18.12%. The total amount of green space and park service coverage in the community life circle are insufficient, and the problem of blind areas is prominent.
Two strategies are proposed according to the current situation.
In terms of planning and layout, new regional community green space constitutes the core, and point community green spaces are added to stimulate community vitality; in terms of functional configuration, improve the quality and classify the existing green space.
