Abstract
SD plant Begonia boweri shows two light sensitive phases during a long night.
Red or blue light are most effective either about 12 h after daily ‘light on’ or 12 h after daily ‘light off’ – independent from the daily light:dark ratio.
Night break with far-red cannot inhibit flower formation.
