Effect of extracts of P. stratiotes on growth, development and productivity of A. esculentus was particularly chosen in view of its significance as a vegetable crop.
Presoaking seed-treatment coupled with spraying with extracts multiplies effect.
Treated plants are sturdier, intensely green and produce early flowering and fruiting.
Present findings emphasize need for agricultural application of the extract to multiply productivity of the vegetable crop.
