Abstract

The use of sprayers is subjected to increasing technical and regulatory constraints, which are aimed at guaranteeing the absence of health and environmental risks when applying chemical treatments.
In this context, CTIFL and its partners have designed and evaluated a new fixed spraying system on foliage as an alternative to the use of sprayers.
The results showed a reduction in application time and a highly significant reduction in off-target drift.
Also, the efficacy on apple scab as well as Lepidopteran pests and storage diseases is satisfactory, and the fruits comply with Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) at harvest.
