Abstract
This work reports the different thinning strategies that have been recently developed in Piedmont region by the Agrion Research Center.
A list of the chemical thinners available today is drawn up, and their use on both standard and newly introduced cultivars.
Mechanical thinning is also used in Piedmont and advantages and concerns of this technique are reported and discussed.
