Abstract
The possibility was studied of freeing plants of raspberry cv Rubin from the heat-stable raspberry vein chlorosis virus (RVCV) by meristem culture.
Only a low percentage of plantlets was obtained from apical meristems about 0.2 mm in diameter.
After multiplication and rooting the plants were tested for presence of virus by graft inoculation to Rubus indicators.
Most of the tested plants proved to be free of RVCV.
