Abstract
Zinc and maganese each sprayed separately or in combination, resulted in significant increase in the vegetative parameters while Fe did not result in significant effect.
Highest saponin percentage was obtained with zinc treatment followed by maganese then iron or the control.
Meanwhile, the combinations resulted in higher saponin.

The response of saponaria plant to different elements changes with the different stages of growth within different organs.
