Abstract
Investigations showed that in GDR there is hardly any farm and definitely no region which has not been affected by replant problems.
Our control programme is based on the analysis of replant disease by using a test.
If the result is positive, in each case it is examined whether a change of location or fruit species would be possible.
Preference should always be given to the change of location, provided that the cost: yield ratio would be lower than or equal to that caused by disinfection.
But there are not many chances for changes of location.
Hence, for direct control of replant disease metham-natrium or dazomet are used.
