Abstract
New types of Pentas lanceolata were selected from progenies derived from controlled pollinations.
During the later stages of selection, based on yearly replicated clonal experiments, genotypes were selected which have a potential as cut flower or pot plant.
The new types are distinguished by new flower colours, floret longevity, stem quality and yield.
They are vegetatively propagated by nodal cuttings.
