Abstract
Minimum nitrogen (N) demand of Rhododendron is known as 150 kg N/ha.
Due to summer rain periods different methods of N-supply are compared: portioned step fertilization up to real N-requirement and ‘window fertilization’ using a small indicator plot for adding nitrogen.
Soil analysis shows that Rhododendron supplied by minimum N can reach sufficient quality by using ‘window fertilization’.
