Abstract
The study was carried out in 1993 in Lublin region.
It is the main hop growing region in Poland, very diverse with regard to climate and soil conditions.
Three different microregions were considered in the study.

About 500 plants of four hop cultivars were tested for the presence of two viruses PNRSV and HMV by the ELISA technique.

The achieved results indicate that large differences in the amount of diseased plants exist which depend on the microregion and the variety of hops.
