Abstract
Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea, var. Botrytis) was stored for 7 days at 1°C in perforated and non-perforated polythene bags, and VF-70, VF-71, RMT-68H, TPF-84 shrink film wraps.
Carbon dioxide levels inside the wraps were measured after the storage period and after 4 days shelf-life at 18°C.

The appearance and cooking quality of heads stored in films VF-70 and VF-71 was still acceptable at the end of the shelf-life period but was unacceptable for the heads stored in the remaining films.
