Abstract
Factors important in connection with the measurement of vase life of cut flowers are discussed, viz.: conditioning of the flowers, temperature, relative humidity, light, air circulation and air change and ethylene.
This leads to the choice of the next conditions for this measurement: 20°C, 60% RH, daylight in winter supplemented with fluorescent light, both of low intensity, low air circulation speed and continuous air replenishment.
