Abstract
In field experiments (in 1993–1994) studies were conducted on the influence of four systemic fungicides (Anvil, Folicur plus, Ditan and Baycor) on the yields of flowers and essential oil quality of Rosa damascena cv. trigintipetala as well as on the development and the rate of infection of rust (Phragmidium mucronatum (Pers.) (Schlecht.)) and black spot (Diplocarpon rosae Wolf.).

It was determined the initial appearance of different stages of the pathogens (sporulations) is dependent on rainfall and temperatures.
It was established that all the tested fungicides were highly efficient against rust and black spots on oil-bearing rose.

Plants, treated with Anvil and Folicur Plus provided up to 60 % higher yields of flowers then the untreated plants, and 25 % higher then the plants treated with Baycor and Ditan DG. The tested fungicides did not negatively affect the quality of rose oil.
