Abstract
The propagating ability of new Mentha spicata cultivars was studied for the purpose of enhancing the propagation coefficient (PC) and for accelerating propagation.
Root cuttings with two buds planted at a distance of 30 cm resulted in highest percentage of surviving buds – 31.29% for cv.
Nana and 48.15 % for cv.
Mechta with PC 1:512.7 and 1:419.1 respectively.
