Abstract
Experiments involving foliar application of complete fertilizer (Wuxal 12–4–6 NPK) at 0.3% and 0.5% of urea were carried out on pear seedlings (cv.
Butter Precoce Morettini with MA rootstock). Spraying was done three times, during the period of intensive growth.
Root length enhancement of 26% was achieved through use of Wuxal, and a 20% increase was recorded in treatment with urea.
Significant increases of root volumes and root surfaces were obtained through the use of Wuxal, whereas the increases of these parameters were low in case of urea.
No significant differences between treatments and the control were observed for root width.
